WARRANTY & LEGAL CONSUMER RIGHTS – HAUS ÜGER

At HAUS ÜGER, we value transparency and trust. This page explains both the statutory consumer rights in different markets and the voluntary warranty we offer on our hand-knotted rugs.

 

STATUTORY CONSUMER RIGHTS (GLOBAL)

European Union (including Denmark):
Consumers have a minimum 2-year warranty covering defects present at delivery. Remedies include repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund if the defect cannot be remedied within a reasonable time. Claims must be made promptly after the defect is discovered.

United Kingdom (UK):
Consumers have the right to goods that match their description and are free from defects. Online purchases include a 14-day withdrawal period, and defects entitle the consumer to repair, replacement, or refund.

United States (USA):
No federal law requires a warranty, but written warranties must be clear and understandable under the Magnuson‑Moss Warranty Act. Consumers are protected against misleading practices.

Canada:
Provincial and federal consumer protection laws provide rights to repair, replacement, or refund if products fail to meet reasonable expectations.

Australia:
Australian Consumer Law provides automatic guarantees, ensuring products are of acceptable quality, match their description, and function as expected. Remedies include repair, replacement, or refund.

⚠️ Note: Statutory rights cannot be waived or limited to the disadvantage of the consumer.

 

HAUS ÜGER VOLUNTARY WARRANTY

In addition to statutory rights, HAUS ÜGER offers the following voluntary warranty as an extra layer of protection:

Coverage Period:
✔️ 5 years from delivery on manufacturing defects and knot integrity.

What is covered:
✔️ Defects in craftsmanship or materials not caused by misuse, improper care, or accidents.
✔️ Repair or replacement costs if the defect is validated under the warranty.

What is not covered:
❌ Normal wear, fading, or changes due to everyday use.
❌ Stains, liquid damage, sun bleaching, pet damage, or misuse.
❌ Damage caused during transport after delivery if the rug is not returned in original packaging.

This warranty is voluntary and intended to provide peace of mind beyond your statutory rights.

 

 

HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY OR CLAIM REQUEST

  2. Documentation:
    Include photos and relevant information about the defect.

  3. Processing Time:
    Our team responds within 7 business days.

  4. Resolution:
    Repair, replacement, or refund will be provided depending on the claim assessment and applicable laws.

 

 

WITHDRAWAL & RETURN POLICY (EU/DENMARK)

Online purchases from EU/Denmark include a 14-day withdrawal period from delivery, allowing return of the product without providing a reason, provided the rug is returned in the same condition it was received.

 

 

CONSUMER RIGHTS ARE PRESERVED

Our warranty and policies do not limit your statutory consumer rights. If local law provides stronger protection, it always takes precedence over this warranty.
