FLORA is a sculptural composition where softness meets ornamentation. Its organic silhouette frames a delicate floral pattern, creating a refined contrast between calm surfaces and intricate detailing. The form feels almost botanical in itself — layered, curved, and intentional.

With its slightly thicker and fuller pile, FLORA offers a deeper tactile experience. It is designed not only to be seen, but to be felt. A statement piece that brings warmth, character, and quiet artistry into the room.

Feel & Form

Crafted from 100% premium wool, FLORA is hand-knotted with a slightly thicker construction, giving it a fuller and more luxurious surface. The increased density enhances both softness and durability, resulting in a rug that feels substantial yet exceptionally gentle underfoot. The wool’s natural resilience ensures long-term performance, while the plush texture adds comfort and warmth. The structure is robust, but the sensation is soft — a balance between strength and indulgence.

CRAFT & PRODUCTION

Each HAUS ÜGER rug is constructed through a slow and deliberate hand-knotting process where material, density, and structure are carefully calibrated from the beginning. Every knot is tied individually, allowing the surface to develop a controlled variation in height, rhythm, and tactile depth.

CHARACTER & UNIQUENESS

Variations in knot tension, pile height, and tonal nuance are an inherent part of the hand-knotting process and should be understood as a mark of authenticity rather than deviation. Wool is a living fibre, and its natural behaviour contributes to the visual depth of the surface.

PLACEMENT IN THE INTERIOR

HAUS ÜGER rugs are designed to function as spatial anchors within an interior rather than as background elements. Their scale, weight, and graphic composition allow them to define zones and structure the atmosphere of a room.

Rather than functioning as a flat textile layer, the rug is built as a structured element within the room. The weight of the construction allows it to settle naturally into the floor plane, creating stability and presence.

Wool is selected for its durability, resilience, and ability to hold sculptural definition over time. Through the knotting process itself, the surface develops a subtle movement that cannot be replicated through mechanical production.

The result is a rug defined not only by its pattern, but by its physical structure — dense, grounded, and materially expressive.

No two rugs will ever be completely identical. Each carries small shifts in rhythm, proportion, and texture that emerge through the making itself.

These differences are not imperfections but the qualities that distinguish a hand-crafted object from industrial repetition.

Over time, the rug settles into the architecture of the space, developing a presence that feels integrated rather than applied.

Placed in a living area, bedroom, entrance, or open architectural space, the rug introduces orientation, contrast, and a sense of intention to the floor surface.

Often a single rug with a strong composition creates more clarity than several competing elements. It becomes part of how the room is read and experienced.

When positioned thoughtfully, the rug signals an interior that has been composed rather than decorated.

Crafted by Hand

Each FLORA rug is entirely hand-knotted by skilled artisans, without the use of machines. Every knot is tied by hand in a meticulous and time-consuming process that demands precision and patience. The floral detailing requires particular expertise, as the transitions between colors and shapes are achieved knot by knot. Subtle variations are a natural result of true craftsmanship, giving every piece its own identity. FLORA is created to endure — structurally strong, aesthetically timeless, and made to be lived with for decades.

Room Presence

FLORA introduces softness and character to interiors where form and comfort are equally valued. Its organic shape makes it ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and refined lounge areas where a sculptural element can soften architectural lines. The fuller pile enhances the sense of comfort in more intimate spaces, such as beside a bed or within a seating area. It defines zones gently, without sharp boundaries, allowing the room to feel curated yet effortless.

HAUS ÜGER is a Danish design brand driven by a fascination with form, texture, and the beauty of imperfection. Founded on the belief that interiors should provoke emotion, our work blurs the line between art and function. Every creation carries a sculptural presence — bold, textural, and uncompromising — expressing a refined yet untamed spirit that challenges conventional Scandinavian minimalism.

We value craftsmanship as much as concept. Behind every piece lies a commitment to time, technique, and authenticity. By collaborating with skilled artisans and embracing slow production, we ensure that each object holds meaning and longevity. Sustainability is not an aesthetic for us; it is a way of working — an insistence that true luxury must endure.
