BLOCKS – GREY is built around balance, proportion and quiet repetition. Three overlapping forms create a structured composition with softened edges, giving the rug a calm architectural expression.
The muted grey outline subtly frames each shape, creating depth through layering rather than contrast. The composition feels minimal and controlled, while the rounded silhouette keeps the overall expression soft and approachable.
Its compact size makes the rug easy to place within smaller spaces where a subtle but defined presence is needed.

BLOCKS – GREY is entirely hand-knotted in wool, created knot by knot by skilled artisans through a slow and highly detailed process.

CRAFT & PRODUCTION
Each HAUS ÜGER cushion begins with a deliberate process where material, density, and surface are carefully controlled to achieve a very specific character. The front surface is densely tufted with wool, creating a tactile structure where the pile is cut and shaped in varying heights.
CHARACTER & UNIQUENESS
Subtle irregularities in texture, pile height, and tone are an inherent part of the process and should be understood as a mark of authenticity. Wool is a living material with natural variation, and the tufting technique allows these nuances to appear across the surface.
PLACEMENT IN THE INTERIOR
HAUS ÜGER cushions are designed to function as visual elements within a room rather than simply as accessories. Their volume, color composition, and surface depth allow them to act as soft sculptural accents within the interior.
This process gives the cushion its distinctive depth and sculptural appearance. Unlike thin decorative pillows, the construction is intentionally substantial.
The cotton backing provides stability, while the interior filling ensures softness without allowing the form to collapse. The result is a cushion that holds its presence — soft to the touch, yet visually defined.
The production requires time and precision, and the character of the wool surface emerges through the process itself, giving each piece a natural sense of individuality.
No two cushions will ever be completely identical. Each carries its own rhythm in the wool, its own small differences in density and movement.
These variations are not imperfections but the qualities that separate a crafted object from industrial uniformity.
Over time, the cushion settles naturally within the space, developing a character that feels personal and lived with rather than mass-produced.
Placed on a sofa, lounge chair, or daybed, they introduce contrast, texture, and a sense of intention to the space.
Often a single cushion with a strong form creates more presence than several smaller ones competing for attention. The object becomes part of the composition of the room — adding warmth, tactility, and personality.
When used thoughtfully, it signals a space that has been curated rather than simply furnished.
